Product Description
  • ULTIMATE EDITION FIRESTEEL - aZengear Flint Steel Pro fire starter is our best version of an outdoor flint and steel striker in the market. It is an all-inclusive carry on camping and bushcraft gadget that consists of an XXL ferro rod, tinder wick rope, HSS striker, 750 paracord as well as the innovative, compact, and lightweight fire starting device that makes fire-lighting in all-weather conditions like a breeze.
  • XXL SIZE FERRO ROD - extra large, removable and replaceable 120mm x 13mm (4.7”x1/2”) cerium, lanthanum, iron, and magnesium rod can handle up to 20,000 strikes producing showers of molten hot sparks at 3,000º C (5,432º F).
  • 2x TINDER WICK ROPES INCLUDED - each pack includes two natural jute tinder sticks, 15cm (6in) each. The wicks are water and weather resistant and have an approximate combined burn time of about 1 hour.
  • HS STEEL STRIKER - the flint striker is made of high-speed stainless steel.
  • 750 PARACORD WITH A WHISTLE - All parts are secured by a 60cm (24in) long 750lbs military-grade parachute cord that includes light reflective coating and 11 inner multipurpose strands that can be used for creating a fishing line, tinder as well as other survival kits. A small waterproof whistle is attached to the paracord.
  • HOW TO USE - 1) soften the end of your tinder wick by fluffing it up; 2) scrape off the black coating on the ferro rod; 3) ignite the wick by striking the striker against the ferro rod. To stop the flame on the wick, simply pull the wick back into the bellows chamber to cut the oxygen flow to the flame.

Great product and fabulous customer service.

These firesteels are great and reasonably priced. The customer service was exceptional as there was a problem initially with a missing delivery but this was quickly rectified and a replacement sent. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

    Useful

Good to have on hand out in the wild, somewhat more reliable than a lighter, and pretty much just as easy to use. Does not weigh too much to carry without really noticing it.

    Amazed my grandson.

Our grandson wanted to strike some matches, he's 7... So I got out the flint, steel and some cotton wool. Showed him what to do. He managed some lovely sparks, eventually, and set the cotton wool alight. Better than magic. Nice set.

    Create sparks

I have used a flint striker in the past to create fire (it's much tougher than you imagine it being, or maybe I'm just rubbish at it!This is a bit more delux than the version I was used to and the main difference being that this holds a wax stick which is positioned to receive sparks and therefore make it easier to start a fire, once the wax stick is ignited it can then be used to easily light kindling, the wax stick can then be extinguished and reused. I imagine you could get easily 20 or 30 uses from the wax sticks, but you don't have to use them, you could use straw balls or any other kindling starter, it's just that the was sticks are held in place and therefore it's easy to use them. So, did I start. fire? Yes I did! I have to say it was a proud moment, it took me a good few minutes and matchs would have done it in seconds - but should be an apocalypse occur, I am confident I have everything I need to get a fire going - even if it does take me a while!I have since purchased one of these a a gift or someone who has a log burner and prides themself for being 'off grid'. Now they can truely keep keep warm this winter using their own sparks.

    Great product

This is a great fire starter which I do give 5 stars in my rating although I would say the wax string is difficult to ignite, I am experienced in bushcraft / camping and found it quite difficult to get it going - so instead I just used a cotton ball to get it going much easier than waxed string, good idea but slow to ignite.Fantastic sturdy product though 👏
