Couvertures de survie d’urgence (lot de 10), Mylar thermique, imperméables

nice packaging and good quality products

Promptly sent

Surprisingly effective! Given that it is autumn right now I have been unable to test the cooling properties of these foil blankets but the heat-retaining properties are there and do work. They're large enough to wrap up an adult in and you get enough in the pack that you can furnish a number of emergency kits - I've put a couple in my car and another in my usual hiking backpack, while the rest are staying in a drawer for the future. Don't expect these to be reusable as they are very lightweight, so they will tear if handled too much - maybe if you're going on a long hike, take multiple, just in case.

Emergency kit items that take up space and weight tend not to get carried, which is why foil blankets are one of the few genuinely practical additions to any bag. Ten in a pack meant one in each car, a couple in the camping kit, some in a walking rucksack and spares left over, all for the cost of a single branded item. Packed size is genuinely negligible, each one folds down to something that disappears in a glove box or a rucksack lid pocket. The 210 by 160cm size is generous enough to wrap an adult fully rather than the undersized versions that only cover a torso. The mylar material is the standard specification and does what it should, reflecting body heat back rather than letting it dissipate. Unfolding one to check the quality showed no tears or thin spots. The gold and silver sides give the option of heat retention or sun reflection depending on the situation. They have also come in useful at a cold spectator event and as a reflective backdrop for photography, which was not the intended use but worked well. A cheap and sensible addition to any car, camping or first aid kit.

I put these straight into the car as a just-in-case addition to the emergency supplies. The pack contains ten individually wrapped foil blankets, so it is easy to keep a couple in the glovebox and leave the rest with a first-aid kit or at home. They are very compact when folded and add virtually no weight, which makes them a sensible item to carry without taking up useful space. The reversible gold and silver design is also a practical touch, with the different sides intended for cold and sunny conditions.I have not needed to use one yet, so cannot comment on durability after unfolding or how well it folds back down. Still, the stated extra-large size and waterproof, windproof design make these a reassuring option for a roadside breakdown or unexpected outdoor situation.

This 10-pack of emergency thermal foil blankets provides an essential safety kit addition for vehicle glove boxes, hiking backpacks, and home first aid supplies. Made from metallic Mylar, these ultra-lightweight sheets reflect up to 90 per cent of radiated body heat back to the user, preventing rapid cooling during breakdowns, outdoor accidents, or sudden weather changes while out hiking. The dual-sided reflective design offers versatile functionality: wrapping the silver side inward traps body heat in freezing conditions, while facing the reflective side outward helps block intense solar heat when stranded in exposed areas.Supplying 10 individually folded sheets in a single package ensures every family member or passenger remains covered during an emergency.Keep in mind their vulnerabilty, Puncture & Wind. The blankets can tear easily if snagged on sharp rocks or brambles. Once a tear starts, the wind can rip the sheet apart quickly. Holding or taping the edges tightly around the body prevents flapping.Lack of Direct Insulation: Foil blankets retain radiated heat but offer no thermal mass or insulation against cold ground. Users can place foam pads, clothing, or a rug beneath themselves to prevent ground cold from pulling away body heat through conduction.Condensation Build-Up: Be aware that the non-porous waterproof plastic traps moisture inside.(Prolonged use can leave clothing damp from perspiration, which reduces warmth over longer periods.Single-Use Refolding: Once unpacked, returning a sheet to its original factory-flat size is nearly impossible, making these effectively single-use items for emergency scenarios. However, delivering a multi-pack of 10 provides immediate thermal reflection for a whole family or group; these Mylar blankets offer practical protective value for outdoor and emergency preparedness!
